With the delivery of my Falken clogs this morning, my shoe collection has grown to a massive EIGHT pairs! (My McQueens are stashed in one of the shoeboxes) I'm quite content with my little collection so far; however, I can't stop thinking of my friend whose collection is about 35 pairs in front of me. I'm not sure if I would love to be *that* spoilt for choice simply because I couldn't possibly get wear from them all and then I would feel bad for wasting precious $$$.

Gail Sorronda has just released her SS11 lookbook for the collection 'murmur'. Although the pieces are amazing, I've found that they aren't as wearable as last seasons. Below are the pieces that I think are the most wearable- minus the murmur head disc, headband and skull cap (unless you're going to a funeral or the races). My favourite pieces would have to be the opiate bodysuit, love in a puff dress and spooks skirt. The bodysuit kind of reminds me of the Ksubi Tramp Stamp bodysuit... hrm. inspired

we all have that one friend who boasts about the successes in their life and never ceases to post messages about goal setting.
after reading something amazing, i've discovered an alternative way of thinking. we all have goals in our life, but the new thing is living up to your values. let's start small.
today, i am going to clean my room, start an assignment and wash the car. at the end of the day, i only managed to do one of those tasks and therefore i feel unproductive and lousy because i didn't fulfill my list. instead of making a list and just doing it, just think- i am going to clean my car because i value tidiness. i am going to wash my car because i value cleanliness. i am going to start that assignment because i value productivity/good grades/my education.
this new way of thinking has changed the way i look at things.
always make small promises and achieve them one by one, because if you set big goals you will always feel insignificant until you achieve it.

pamela loves ellery

so my boyfriend owed me a gift for our first anniversary because everything he tried to get me was sold out. this was a good thing i guess because i could then choose what i wanted within his budget muahaha. so now, i am the proud owner of pamela love jewelery. i really love love love her silver double cage ring as well, but unfortunately this wasn't within the budget.. ;)

first anniversary

thank you to my boyfriend for surprising me with the most romantic evening yesterday. we dined at a beautiful japanese restaurant at portside wharf overlooking the water. i felt so relaxed as i drank my green tea. he then drove me to the two lookouts where we used to hang out at and talk for hours. also where we had our first kiss. after dwelling about the past we went to sip italian hot chocolates and munch on some pastries at la dolce vita. the night ended with the exchanging of cards, kisses and smiles. i'm so lucky.

(sidenote) other things i have done for the first time: a load of washing and order from leblackbook.com.au. do not order from them. my order took 1.5 months to arrive.
