Shanghai photo diary

Outside the clinic before I got my knee caps adjusted

New A.Wang bag ^_^

Most chilled street cleaner ever

You're not truly asian unless you have keyboard stickers

New trench

Didn't realise my hair was this two-toned

They had fragrances available: Waffles, Rain, Dirt, Orange Juice rofl

Besides having withdrawal symptoms from Facebook, Shanghai was an amazing experience. City life was bustling 24/7 and so were the bicycles, cars and scooters. If Shanghai could be described as a sound, I would say a car horn. Road rules barely exist as everyone tries to find space on the roads. One of our taxi drivers thought he was an F1 driver which was rather exhilarating.

I also got my knee caps adjusted and yes, it was as painful as it sounds. Immediately after he put them in place, my body heated up immensely which is supposed to be your chi being released. I was dizzy and couldn't see for 15 minutes. He said now my posture and skin will improve so the pain was worth it I guess.

I pretty much ate dumplings every day except for the last day- cocktails, pizza and gelato. Yum.
The shopping was average I would say. There are skyscrapers literally as far as the eye can see in a 360 degree radius. Many were shopping malls, but they had really bad local asian labels. The only good designer labels there were LV, Chanel, Prada etc, which I can't afford obviously! The markets were pretty dodge too, so I mostly spent my money in cosmetics stores, Hershey's and H&M.

I also went to the Shanghai circus which was so amazing. I can't even do a handstand so I was fully in awe of all the amazing stunts that were performed.
I'm glad to be home where people understand the English language. I've never had such a hard time ordering McDonald's in my life.

xx

  20. I usually hate crowds - and, um, China, incidentally - but there is something about one of the most popular cities in ANY country that just does it for me ;). I think it's the increase in tourists there.. Which is probably why I felt more at home when I went LOL! Glad you enjoyed yourself babe!! <3

  94. I'm surprised the shopping didnt excite you. Tailoring stuff is amazing in Shanghai! My favorite collar shirts and blouses, not to mention trenches are tailored during my China visits. The only challenge I found when shopping was finding sizes that fit me (finding shoes size 9 was impossible for instance). Proportionally long-sleeves were difficult to find and shoulders/back width as well (Tiny Asian people!), but dresses and bags! Oh my!
