The five most common regrets

(Atseoul casual oxford basic loafer in sky blue)

I finally own a pair of oxford style shoes or shoes that aren't black in general. Hoorah. They were pretty cheap so I hope they don't fall apart.

Also I want to share this with you. It is the 'Five Most Common Regrets' written by a nurse working in palliative care. Reading this made me realise that sometimes you must break out of your everyday routine to discover happiness. She would ask her patients who were close to death, if they had any regrets. She found some common themes..

1. I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I didn't work so hard.

3. I wish I had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish I had let myself be happier.

Read the article here. Do it.

Black and gold

(Miss Shop bow headband, Karen Walker necklace, H&M top, leather pleated skirt from Atseoul, pompom heels)

The Decision Making Process

All marketing students will understand this theory. I thought I would use it to frame my post today because this is how I shop. I like to think of what item I need beforehand, which prevents me from being impulsive.

1. Problem Awareness- In love with this pleated skirt trend but I have none (this was before I found that $5 skirt on Ebay!).

2. Information search- It's 9pm so I stick to online stores. I browse all possible places that could sell pleated skirts such as: Asos, Topshop, YesStyle, Atseoul, Ebay, Pixiemarket etc. I choose to focus on Atseoul.com as they have a HUGE selection.

3. Evaluation for Alternatives- All items of interest are opened in a new tab each. Now I start going through and closing the tabs that I won't be purchasing until I'm left with one tab.

4. Purchase- Add item to cart and double check sizes and shipping.

5. Post-purchase evaluation- My parcel arrives 2.5 weeks later. The skirt fit perfectly and was exactly as described. Very happy. I highly recommend Atseoul.com if you're my size because Asian stores carry smaller sizes. My leather skirt was a 'one sized' garment, and it fits my size 6-8 waist smugly. They have excellent customer service too.
Thus ends this mini marketing lesson hehe.

therapeutic

New buys. Giving into the clear-framed sunglasses trend for $15 on Ebay and also finally bought myself some red lipstick from MAC (colour: 'Chili'). The vanilla coke Lip Smacker I already had, but I had to post about it because it's the most delicious thing to ever touch my lips ;) Sorry boyfriend.

some people stop living, long before they die

(Sosume denim shirt, Gail Sorronda black chalk belt, Vtg skirt, Beau Coop boots, Vtg Giorgio Armani sunglasses)

A portrait photo for a change haha. I'm thinking of changing my blog header because I'm sick of it for some reason. Meh. I'll sleep on it. Also I've reached 800+ followers. I'm so thankful for my readers. Your comments truly make my day. I hope to plan a really good giveaway when I reach 1000.

yesterday you said tomorrow

(Antipodium rosebud tee, Vtg skirt & belt, ASOS clutch, Natasha heels)

I bought this skirt for $5 off Ebay. I didn't need to alter it at all and it fits my rather small waist perfectly. It is seriously my best buy yet and pretty much my first vintage buy EVER. Yes, I never go vintage shopping or buy second hand clothing, only because there are no good second hand clothing stores where I live and I don't like buying vintage online because sizing is very tricky. I'm too lazy to look up measurements. Thought I'd take a punt with this skirt because it was only $5 and it paid off woooo.

beau-ty

Yayayay my new booties ^_^ I'm not a really big flats/sandal person because in general, boots seem to go with more and flats just fall apart. Maybe because I buy them from cheap asian markets for two dorrah but I don't do anything to stress them out. All I know is that these can now join my other Beau Coop boots and they can make babies. You can download their latest lookbook for your hemisphere here.

Self titled

From one of the ex-designers of Zambesi and Ksubi, comes a brand called Self Titled; seen on Bambi and featured in NO magazine. I have the black version which looks kickass under anything sheer. ANDDDD I just bought new boots even though I told myself I would stop shopping. Meh. I can't wait to show you!

Sin city

(Asos Petite peter pan dress, Tristan Blair wedges)

First time clubbing down the Gold Coast to see Far East Movement at Sin City. I didn't know who they even were, I just wanted to party LOL (they sing 'Like a G6' btw). 350 more tickets were sold than the venue could hold so it was wayyy too hot and sweaty inside and they didn't turn up until 2AM. Pre-drinks at the apartment was probably the highlight of the night. I did my first flaming vodka shot WOOO!
If you hadn't noticed, the first 2 pics were taken at home, the others I stole from my friends' camera. Thought I'd post something a little diff today to show that I have a life outside shopping.
