I'm a big fan of collared shirts and clean cuts which is why I was instantly drawn to this top when it was hanging on the clothes rack. The gold button detailing also won me over, but I'll have to be suuper careful as the material is extremely delicate *>_<* Winter is approaching and I'm hoping to use this as a layering piece under some nice jackets or even some sweaters.
I can safely say that I am not one to buy into every trend that arises from high designer influence. I will only buy something if I truly like it. Sneakers/kicks are the latest footwear trend and I think it's kinda cool, but I won't be rushing anywhere to buy a new pair of hi-tops. I'm a boots girl through and through and sorry if this offends anyone but I can't help in associating hi-top sneakers with the ghetto..

The other night I attended Onepointsevenfour's official store launch. As you can spot via the photos, this amazing optical and eyewear store in Brisbane stocks Dita, Alexander Wang, Linda Farrow, Jeremy Scott, Sass & Bide, Cutler & Gross, Akira and so much more. It was so much fun trying on all the different types and styles of glasses (ones that I could never afford) and I thought the store's gallery layout was really neat too. I think I'll be saving up for a new pair of A.Wang's or Jeremy Scott's soon.
The other day Fabliha from Inside In/Inside Out and I attended the QUT Graduate x Westfield Chermside 'Couture Academy' fashion show held at the Stokehouse, Southbank in which six graduates from QUT battled it out in who would take home an amazing fashion travel bursary. We were chosen to be guest judges on the panel and were so pleased when the lovely Jacqueline Curran won who we had voted for.
Other than the exquisite creations, another highlight was the fine dining. The dessert was vanilla bean pudding with gingerbread biscuit, nougat and raspberry sorbet.... need I say more... I love taking photos of my food on Instagram so for inevitable food envy have a stalk.
I have the most amazing friends. I had been looking absolutely everywhere for this YSL Arty ring in purple/silver because that's the only variation I liked. It's amethyst purple like my birthstone and I haven't seen anyone else with it either. After contacting a parcel forwarder to order one direct from YSL.uk and failing quite a few months ago, I just gave up. So when my friends surprised me with one for my 21st birthday I absolutely freaked because I knew how hard it was to obtain!
I know I promised I wouldn't post about birthday presents anymore, but this is by far one of the best presents I've ever received. Thank you Patria, Tim, Liana and Amy!
PS- The last photo is a sneak peek of my next outfit post.
This dress from Wish feels ultra luxurious to wear as it's made from pure silk and although it's a bit too long (which is always a problem for me), I'm really admiring the fiery sky print. It's just a nice alternative to all the galaxy prints you see on everyone. Not sure how taking it up will go as I don't want to get rid of any of the print, but what must be done, must be done I guess. It will definitely be worth it though as maxi dresses are great transeasonal pieces.
It's been a while since I've bought anything on ASOS.. I'm trying to be good because every time I'm on there, I end up buying something as I just think- "It's only $___ dollars" (thanks to the free shipping). Above are some ultra cute dresses I'm fancying atm and I really wouldn't mind if they were to magically appear in my wardrobe...
Folded in half or rolled down at the top, this makeshift clutch made out of real leather resembles something so basic which of course, is the old school paperbag. Loving its simplicity and practicality. You can actually fit a 13" inch laptop in there I'm pretty sure. Can't wait to take this out when the rain stops.
Usually I would walk right past dresses like these, but I'm glad I came across this one by Wish. Even though it's blush pink, it can be easily grunged up with leather boots and a leather jacket, which also makes this piece transeasonal. The mullet hem is also not overwhelming which I like.

A big thank you to the ladies at Beginning Boutique for giving me the chance to have an amazing weekend attending Future Music Festival with appropriate outfit to match! I had such a blast with my friends- from getting killed in the front row mosh to trudging home alongside nine others in the rain trying to holler a maxi-taxi. I had never really been to an electro festival before and now that its been crossed off my bucket list, I probably won't be going back and being the only non half naked person again.
