Step back.

Two plus years onwards and it's fascinating to me how much this blog has changed. Only now do I realise how heavily external sources have influenced my blog, which is not necessarily a negative thing, but it has drawn my blog away from the intimate and expressive personal space that it once was to me. Sometimes we get so caught up with what other people are doing that we forget about our own footprint. Time for a change.

4. Let's fly away.

Wearing: Fernando Frisoni t-shirt, Aje cut out skirt, Ellery trench coat and Jeffrey Campbell litas

I've saved my favourite outfit until last. This warm trench coat is the perfect throw over essential to complete any summery t-shirt + skirt/shorts combo. All you need is one piece. Investing in key pieces rather than buying tonnes of cheap 'on trend' crap is what I believe in. A big thank you to Fiona and Teresa for having me in their showroom yet again! Also to Ben for managing to take some photos of me not laughing like a fool.

3. Pass you by.

Wearing: Dion Lee II singlet (as seen here), zip tux jacket and own Therese Rawsthorne shorts.

To be honest, I only gave this blazer a second look because the colour was so vivid, but when I put it on, it fit like a glove despite me originally thinking it looked too big on the rack. The zippers are quite unusual but I guess it allows people to see my fully sick biceps.

Cinched at the waist with minimal detailing is why I love this dress so much. Not to mention its gorgeous colour and the way it drapes. It's hard to find dresses that truly fit properly these days.

Wearing: Staple the label rib dress from MarketHQ, Senso boots, Sportsgirl necklace and Alexander Wang bag.

When I'm in a blah/practical mood, this dress will be my go-to choice of wear. Hugs in all the right places and extremely versatile in terms of layering. I think every girl should have one in their closet.. just saying. Please excuse it looking crumpled too - I ended up sleeping in it after a huuuge night out.. heh.

Peeptoe 'Miss Buckingham' heels from Shooii

A while ago I blogged about how I found the perfect pair of nude heels from RMK... well... unfortunately they broke (and no, it wasn't my fault), so here is my replacement pair of a significantly higher quality from Shooii - a new online Australian shoe store that I've found.

I've had to exchange my original order not once, but twice due to incorrect sizing and the customer service I received was prompt, friendly and understanding. The free express delivery (no minimum buys) and 365 day return policy is f-ing awesome too. Get on it.
